Information
What to do
La Spezia and the surrounding areas offer many attractions and a famously
idyllic scenery.
Le Cinque Terre

Beautiful view of Vernazza – one of five famous colorful villages of Cinque Terre National Park in Italy, Liguria region.
Cinque Terre (literally translated: five areas or five villages) is the name of a ravishing coastal strip of approximately twelve ilometres along the Italian Riviera between Punta Mesco and Punta di Montenero, to the northwest of La Spezia.
The five villages of Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore beautiflly adorn this steeply sloping coast. The region has about 7,000 inhabitants and is protected as a national park where nothing may be built or changed. In 1997, the Cinque Terre, together with Porto Venere and the islands of Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto, were declared UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Island of Palmaria & Portovenere

Isola Palmaria
Palmaria (in Ligurian: A Parmæa) is an island at the western end of the Gulf of La Spezia, directly opposite Porto Venere. It is easily accessible by ferry from there, and also from the port of La Spezia. It offers several wonderful beaches, tranquil bays, and multiple hiking trails up and down the hills through a pine forest and with great viewpoints. There are also several atmospheric restaurants (reservations strongly recommended).

Porto Venere
In the beautiful village of Porto Venere you can stroll through picturesque alleys, visit several chapels, explore the grottos and caves on foot or by boat, or dine in a harbour restaurant with a view of the yachts. Boats depart from here to the directly neighbouring Cinque Terre villages. Here
Here you can find extensive information about Porto Venere.

Netter zuvorkommender Gastgeber!
Too short a stay…
but hoping to return very soon a fantastic location for a base… fantastic layout, a very high end feel and private parking. Landlords overwhelmingly good, warm and welcoming and as seasoned travellers we should know.
Wunderschöne Unterkunft
Liebevoll eingerichtet, super Ausblick, herzliche und sehr hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen.

Great rooms, with a great view!
Excellent place to stay, one of the nicest rooms in Italy. The hosts were very professional and very nice to chat with and the location is close to the autostrada so if you’re driving it is extremely convenient. Restaurants close by, all quite popular and delicious.
